Alecia Iwanchuk is a proud mom to one son and three kitties, and her journey into yoga began as part of a personal healing process. What started as a physical practice quickly unfolded into something much deeper. As yoga began transforming her mind and body, she also reconnected with her soul and uncovered her purpose: to help others awaken their potential. This calling led her to explore energy work and kundalini yoga, eventually anchoring her path as a healer. In 2021, she created a sacred space in her own home, a studio built to help women reconnect with themselves. Through yoga, Alecia guides her clients to use their bodies not just for movement, but as powerful tools for healing and empowerment.
Building a Soul-Led Practice
Alecia’s home studio is more than a workspace—it’s a reflection of her values. After 16 years in the corporate world, she knew she needed a life filled with calm and meaning. The transition from that fast-paced life to intentional living is what shaped her business today.
Her work ranges from leading large group classes, retreats, and festival sessions to what she considers her most impactful offering: one-on-one coaching. These intimate sessions allow her to meet clients exactly where they are and help them create lasting, positive change with depth and commitment.
Alecia also scales her mission through online offerings and continues to grow her digital presence. Her YouTube channel, @IntentionsYoga, is a space where anyone can start or continue their own healing journey alongside her.
Lessons I've Learned
The biggest shift in my life came when I stopped chasing things that weren’t aligned. The corporate world drained me. Creating a peaceful home studio gave me space to breathe, reset, and serve from a place of wholeness.
I learned that healing isn’t a straight line. It takes presence, safety, and deep listening. That’s what I try to bring into every session.
Being seen, held, and heard—that’s what people are really looking for.
And the business? It grows naturally when you build something real, something rooted in who you are.
My Message to Founders
You don’t need to follow someone else’s blueprint to succeed. The most powerful thing you can do is build from who you are. Let your values shape your business model. Let your rhythm set the pace.
It’s easy to get caught in the noise, comparison, pressure, urgency, but none of that leads to peace. What matters most is creating something that feels true. Something that feeds your spirit while serving others.
Don’t be afraid to slow down. Depth is often more transformative than scale. And sometimes the most meaningful growth happens in silence, in stillness, in spaces that aren’t visible from the outside.
Honor your seasons. Protect your energy. And remember: the more rooted you are in your truth, the more magnetic your work becomes.
Business Takeaways from Yoga Founders Magazine
Build from Values
Your business should reflect your lifestyle. Don’t separate how you want to live from what you create.
Create Safe Spaces
Clients come for transformation, but they stay because they feel seen, heard, and supported.
Start from Within
Growth starts with alignment. You can’t guide others from a place of burnout.
Go Deep, Not Wide
One-on-one work can create deeper impact and long-term results, don’t underestimate its power.
