Over a decade ago, a friend invited me to my first yoga class. I didn’t know it then, but that moment would change everything. Each return to the mat felt like a homecoming—a place where I could shed ego, move with intention, and rediscover myself from the inside out. As my practice deepened, so did my desire to learn more. I became fascinated with the roots of yoga—the meaning behind the poses, the philosophy, the energy. Eventually, I knew with certainty: I was meant to teach. To share this sacred practice with others the way it was first shared with me.
A pivotal moment came when I traveled to Bali. Immersed in the culture and the teachings, I felt a clarity I had never known before. Becoming a yoga teacher wasn’t just a decision—it was a calling.
A Life Woven with Practice and Purpose
Beyond yoga, I’m a proud mama of two incredible little humans. Our life is rooted in love, curiosity, and connection—we’re a homeschooling family, where learning flows through life, not just lessons. Teaching them is my greatest honor, though they continue to teach me more than I ever imagined.
Nature is my sanctuary. Whether hiking, spending slow days at the beach, or working in my garden, the outdoors reminds me to slow down, breathe, and be present. These daily rhythms—between motherhood, nature, and yoga—have shaped not just my lifestyle, but my teaching.
I see yoga as more than movement. It's an ever-evolving journey that nurtures intention, awareness, and growth. I continue to travel and learn, committed to deepening my understanding and sharing what I gather with those who join me on the path.
Business Takeaways from Yoga Founders Magazine
1. Your mat is your mirror.
Yoga has been my reminder that I don’t have to be perfect to be powerful. Each practice is an invitation to return to myself, with less ego and more presence.
2. You don’t need to “fit” a mold.
You don’t have to be flexible, spiritual, or experienced. You only need to show up—exactly as you are. That’s where the real transformation begins.
3. Let mindfulness lead.
Empowerment begins in the smallest moments—one breath, one pause, one choice to honor yourself. That’s where the magic lives, both on and off the mat.
